On Wednesday, for the third consecutive session, stocks opened on a high note only to decline as the day unfolded. This pattern contributed to the Dow’s seventh loss in the last eight sessions. Meanwhile, both the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite extended their losing streaks to four days, marking their longest downturns since early January.
Tesla defends Musk's $56B pay bid after court rejection. Tesla is rallying shareholders to support CEO Elon Musk's $56 billion compensation package. This move comes after a Delaware judge nullified the deal earlier this year, labeling it an "unfathomable sum" and criticizing the company's board's lack of justification.
United Airlines blames Boeing for $200M loss. United Airlines attributes a $200 million blow to its earnings in the year's first quarter to Boeing. The carrier was compelled to ground its Boeing 737 MAX 9 fleet for three weeks after a mid-air cabin blowout on an Alaska Airlines flight in January. This setback led United to report a pre-tax loss of $164 million for the quarter.
States employ AI to track wealthy remote workers. New York and other states are using artificial intelligence to target wealthy remote workers who are relocating to low-tax states. Facing staff shortages, the department has turned to AI to send hundreds of thousands of letters to remote workers. While the exact motivation behind this shift remains unclear, AI could help mitigate audit demands amid a decrease in auditors despite an increase in audits in 2022.

However, accessing this treasure is impossible due to the harsh Antarctic conditions. Plus, Mount Erebus emits not only gold, but also gas, steam, and occasional rock fragments.
