The S&P 500 hit a new record on Tuesday, closing at 6,129.58 after a last-minute rally. Investors brushed off concerns about global trade and inflation. The index briefly touched an intraday high of 6,129.63. The Nasdaq inched up 0.07% to 20,041.26, while the Dow added 10 points, or 0.02%, closing at 44,556.34. GameStop, the former video game retailer turned meme stock, is thinking about investing in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Nothing confirmed yet, just some exploring—but that was enough to send its stock up 20% in after-hours trading.

Nvidia’s latest stock moves. Nvidia just dumped 44% of its stake in British chip firm Arm Holdings and bailed on Serve Robotics and SoundHound AI. Meanwhile, it quietly picked up 1.7 million shares in China’s self-driving startup WeRide, which sent WeRide’s stock soaring 94% because apparently, Nvidia’s approval is the golden ticket. WeRide, valued at $4.71 billion, runs on Nvidia’s AI tech, so this isn’t exactly a shocker. Investors treat Nvidia’s stake moves like gospel, since whatever it touches tends to explode in value. Oh, and Nebius Group got a little Nvidia love too—its stock jumped 8% after Nvidia reported 1.2 million shares in the AI cloud firm.

Coinbase rides the crypto wave. Coinbase just had its best quarter in three years, riding a 130% revenue surge. The company crushed expectations, reporting $4.68 per share (Wall Street guessed $1.81) and $2.27 billion in revenue(vs. the expected $1.88 billion). Total trading volume hit $439 billion, up 185% from last year. Consumer trading went wild, jumping 224%, while institutions weren’t far behind at 176%. Coinbase credits the growth to crypto volatility, the launch of Bitcoin ETFs, and a pro-crypto government, which apparently made investors lose their minds.

Gold prices could go even crazier. Goldman Sachs just bumped its gold price target to $3,100 an ounce, up from $2,890, blaming central banks stocking up and ETFs adding fuel to the fire. If uncertainty sticks around, Goldman says gold could soar to $3,300 by year-end. UBS isn’t far behind, calling $3,200 a real possibility.

Oxford Scientists Pull Off ‘Quantum Teleportation’

Oxford researchers just linked two quantum processors using particle entanglement, letting them share data instantly without a physical connection. One changes, the other reacts—like magic, but real. This breakthrough solves a big problem: quantum computers are huge and fragile. Instead of cramming everything into one machine, processors can now connect remotely, making quantum computing faster and more scalable. The experiment sent data two meters apart with 86% accuracy, a step toward a quantum internet. No teleporting people yet, but quantum computing just leveled up.

Robot joins construction crew. A new robot assistant just got tested on an Italian construction site, drilling, sanding, painting, and hauling heavy materials—all without a lunch break. Built by the Italian Institute of Technology, the CONCERT robot is designed to handle dangerous, high-risk jobs, like drilling at heights and spraying insulation. After three years of testing, it's ready to help workers avoid injuries and heavy lifting.

Times Square’s Spinning Restaurant Is Back

Image: The View

Danny Meyer is reopening The View, the only revolving restaurant in NYC, perched on the 47th and 48th floors of the Marriott Marquis. Closed for five years, it’s making a comeback next week, slowly spinning above Times Square like it never left. Meyer, who loves a high-altitude dining challenge, says the goal is to make people come for more than just the view. But let’s be honest—the real draw is watching Manhattan rotate while trying to find your table after a bathroom break.
