Former Blue Origin employees Rob Meyerson and Gary Lai are entering the lunar mining game with a new venture. Their company, operating in secrecy since 2022, aims to extract helium-3 from the Moon's surface and bring it back to Earth for lucrative applications. With a recent announcement of a $15 million funding boost, their mission is finally coming to light.

Kairos rocket explodes mid-launch. The Tokyo start-up's ambitious goal of being Japan's first private company to launch a satellite met a fiery end just moments after liftoff in western Japan. At Cromwell Hospital in London, surgeons are taking their operations to the next level with the $3,500 Apple Vision Pro. Though not donning the headset themselves, a scrub nurse utilized the VR goggles during two spinal surgeries, dubbing it a "game-changer" in medical technology. The device allowed them to access virtual screens in the operating room, aiding in tool selection and surgery monitoring. 

The Rise of Urban Healing Forests.

Manhattan is about to witness a green revolution with the arrival of a tiny forest on Roosevelt Island. Dubbed the Manhattan Healing Forest, this urban oasis will cover just 2,700 square feet but pack a punch with 1,000 native plants, trees, and shrubs. Using the Miyawaki method pioneered by Japanese botanist Akira Miyawaki, this forest will spring to life, absorbing carbon, cleaning the air, and providing habitat for wildlife. 

New Yorkers' fractional ownership hack. Amy Beihl, a 32-year-old New Yorker working in digital consulting, found a savvy solution to the New York City housing market blues: fractional ownership. Unable to afford a small apartment in the Big Apple, she invested in shares of five vacation homes in Europe instead. Not only did she save money compared to NYC prices, but she also gained the perks of vacationing and a sense of ownership. It's a win-win for Beihl, who now enjoys the best of both worlds.
